Praděd is a mountain in the Hrubý Jeseník (Czechia). Its summit stands 1,491 m above sea level. Its prominence — how far it rises above the highest saddle linking it to a taller summit — is 983 m, and the nearest higher ground is 128 km away.
From the lowest point within 5 km (735 m), it rises 756 m. The steepest side is the north-east face: 14° on average over the first kilometre.
The nearest town is Bělá pod Pradědem, 9 km away at 474 m: 1,017 m below the summit.
